Good news on the environment can be hard to come by, what with the oceans filling up with micro-plastics, the atmosphere with greenhouse gases, and Australia, at the time of writing, on fire. So take some comfort in these reports that show how one city – Ljubljana – is becoming cleaner and greener with its waste collection, management and disposal, with the measures showing tangible results and making it easier for people to integrate good practices in their daily lives, taking some ownership of the trash they produce.
