The Novo Mesto Police Department reported having registered 74 illegal migrants, while another 26 were recorded by the Koper Police Department and 13 by the Ljubljana department.
In the cases handled by the Novo Mesto police, citizens of Pakistan, Algeria, Morocco, Iraq, Tunisia and Cameroon asked for international protection, so they were taken to an asylum centre.
Meanwhile, seven foreigners were handed over by Novo Mesto police to their Croatian counterparts.
Of the 26 migrants who crossed the border in the area covered by the Koper police, 17 were Syrians and 14 of them asked for asylum.
Kočevje police, who are part of the Ljubljana department, apprehended two Yemeni and 13 Syrians, taking them to an asylum centre.
This was after Koper and Novo Mesto police apprehended eleven illegal migrants on Thursday and Friday. Apart from Algerians, Afghans and Libyans and Tunisians, one was a Russian citizen. They included children, aged 4 and 6.
The country has seen a spike in illegal migration over the past two months with a police official saying last week that between 50,000 and 60,000 people were moving towards Slovenia from Greece.
