"Solution for German government?": German Chancellor Angela Merkel managed to avert a government crisis over migration by reaching an agreement with Interior Minister Horst Seehofer on the setting up of refugee centres in Bavaria. (front page, 3)

Japan's defeat at Football World Cup
"Japanese fall like last samurai": Japan lost last night's match to Belgium in a dramatic finish, with a goal in the 94th minute. (front page)

Azerbaijan scandal
