"Ljubljana, ninth fastest city": A record of the track was set at the Ljubljana Marathon this weekend despite rain, which bothered recreational runners more than it did professional athletes. (front page, 17-32)

Hesse election
"Pyrrhic victory for CDU in Hesse": Preliminary results of yesterday's election in Hesse show the CDU candidate, the minister president of the German state of Hesse Volker Bouffier, won only 27%, much less than in the last election, when he was backed by 38.8% of the voters. (front page, 3)

US shooting
"Jews targets in the latest shooting in the US": A day after one of the worst anti-Semitic shootings in the history of the US, the names of the eleven victims were published. Police identified the shooter as 46-year-old Robert Bowers. (front page, 3)
