The win comes with some irregularities and an apology from the Slovenian Lottery.

In the first Super Lotto game of the year a winning combination of seven numbers was drawn and a lucky man who bought his ticket in Ig, near Ljubljana, got one million EUR. The winning numbers were: 2, 18, 19, 20, 26, 28 and 36.

However, not everything went smoothly. There were some irregularities on the lottery webpage when the organisation announced the winning numbers and the size of the prize. As a representative of the Lottery of Slovenia explained, there were two technical problems.

“On the www.loterija.si website the data were updated gradually, within 30 minutes and automatically, as only information about the round and the drawing date were updated, followed by information on the numbers drawn and lastly the information on the value of the winnings. The value published on January 1 2018 was unfortunately wrong, so we published the correct amount on January 3 2018, for which we are really sorry.”

Several new millionaires in 2017
According to the collected released by the Slovenian Lottery, six people won over one million EUR in 2017, with the winning tickets bought in Martjanci, Mirno near Nova Gorica, in Nova Gorica, at a petrol station near Račak, and in Murska Sobota.

Usually we ask ourselves which numbers are most often drawn out.

Although this is gambling, and calculations do not play a very important role here, an analysis shows that some numbers are drawn more than others. The most common numbers in the standard Lotto game are 11, 12, 4, 16, 25, 27, and 18, while the least frequently drawn ones are 3, 29, 19, 10, 34, 24 and 31.

In the Super Lotto game, the most frequently drawn numbers are 8, 15, 1, 12, 2, 24, and 26, while the least frequent are 18, 33, 28, 13, 30, 21, and 39.
