The case is in relation to 100 kilos of cocaine that was found at Rijeka port.

STA, 30 March, 2018 - The Ljubljana District Court has rejected an appeal by Stjepan Prnjat, an alleged Croatian drug lord, against his extradition to Croatia, which means the path for his handover has been cleared.

Prnjat's lawyer Luka Fabiani told the STA on Friday he believed the extradition would run under standard procedure. He could not say when or how Prnjat will be extradited.

As procedure against him is expected to continue in Croatia, Fabiani could not give any further details.

Prnjat was apprehended by Slovenian police in Ljubljana on 8 March as part of an international operation codenamed Nana.

Apart from Prnjat, five more Croatian citizens, two Dutchmen and a Spaniard were arrested in Slovenia and Croatia on suspicion of smuggling drugs from South America to Europe.

A hundred-kilo cocaine stash was discovered at the Rijeka port.

Extradition needs to be executed within ten days after the extradition decision becomes final.
