STA, 1 May 2018 - Economic situation in Slovenia has improved but not because of the government, according to Marjan Trobiš, the president of the Employers' Association (Združenje delodajalcev Slovenije, ZDS, the Association of Employers of Slovenia). He believes the country will not be able to sustain the positive business trends without foreign workforce.
STA, 30 April 2018 - Police apprehended a group of seven migrants in the south of the country after they entered Slovenia illegally from Croatia across the Kolpa river. Suspecting that there had been another person in the group who failed to swim over, police called in firefighters to inspect the river and they found a body.
