According to Demokracija editor-in-chief Jože Biščak, leftist, including Slovenian, governments have encouraged the dangerous idea of multiculturalism.
The 2008-2012 Borut Pahor government adopted a white book on education, which "no longer even envisaged integration and assimilation procedures for new citizens and immigrants".
"On the contrary [it envisaged] the assimilation of Slovenians (in their own country) to other cultures," Biščak goes on.
"(Un)fortunately an uncontrolled migrant wave began in 2015 that opened the eyes of most Europeans that further poisoning of the European biologic origin would mean the final downfall and disintegration of the western civilisation."
Biščak continues that the deal on migrants made by EU leaders last week was a small victory in the efforts to "preserve the identity of the continent and the race which built the grandest civilisation of all times".
"Now it is the leaders turn to abandon false humanism and make Europe European again. A hard but not an impossible task.
"It does remain a question though whether this will be possible with kind measures alone, that is with the policy of convincing the barbarian hordes to withdraw from Europe," he concludes under the headline Boiled Frog.
