The IFSC Climbing World Cup was at Briançon, in France, last weekend, with Slovenia’s Janja Garnbret once again dominating the wall in the lead event, followed by Austria’s Jessica Pilz and the Belgian Anak Verhoeven. In addition to Garnbret, three other Slovenian women made the top 10, with Mina Markovič fifth, Vita Lukan sixth and Mia Krampl seventh.

The men's lead was won Alexander Megos, from Germany, followed by Romain Desgranges (France), with Slovenia's Domen Skofič third.

The weekend also saw a series of paraclimbing events, with the Slovene Tanja Glušič coming second in the women’s competition for the visually impaired, behind Abigail Robinson of Great Britain. In the men’s RP3 category, for those with limited range, power or stability, Slovenia’s Gregor Selak came second to Italy’s Alessandro Neri.
