The third event of the FIS Four Hills Ski Jumping Tournament was held at Innsbruck, Austria, yesterday, where the Polish jumper Kamil Stoch once again finished in first place, his third win of the tour, with flights of 130.0 m and 128.5 m, and a total of 270.1 points. This put him well ahead of Norway’s Daniel Andre Tande, with 129.5 m, 125.0 m and 255.6 pts. The top five was completed by Andreas Wellinger (GER, 133.0 m, 126.0 m, 253.5 pts), Andreas Stjernen (NOR, 125.0 m, 127. m, 241.1 pts), and the best performing Slovene Jernej Damjan (127.0 m, 120.0 m, 239.9 pts). The other Slovenes who landed in the top 30 were Timi Zajc (17th), Peter Prevc (23rd), Nejc Dezman (25th), and Ziga Jelar (27th). The full results can be found here.

With regard to the Four Hills as a whole, Stoch appears unbeatable with 833.2 pts, followed by Wellinger (768.7 pts) and Junshiro Kobayashi (765.7 pts), with Jernej Damjan in 8th place (744.2 pts). The next and final event takes place in Bischofshofen, Austria, on January 6, with the official training and qualification jumps held today.

Germany’s Richard Freitag had a disappointing day, falling after landing from a first-round jump of 130.0 m, and then deciding to drop out of the second round due to a knee injury. Despite this, Freitag remains at the top of the leaderboard for the overall World Cup, on 711 pts, followed by Kamil Stoch (623 pts) and Andreas Wellinger (509 pts). Jernej Damjan is the top Slovene on the leaderboard, in 10th place with 260 pts, while Peter Prevc sits at 19th with 128 pts.
