Hadalin 8th in alpine combined
Štefan Hadalin finished the alpine combined event at the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang as the best Slovenian in eighth place, 2.42 seconds behind winner Marcel Hirscher of Austria. Another Slovenian, Klemen Kosi, who finished 2.85 seconds behind the winner, was tenth, which is his best result of the season and at the Olympics. On the other hand, Martin Čater, was 13th after the downhill, but failed to finish the slalom, while Boštjan Kline decided against starting in the slalom after finishing the downhill in 43rd place.
Lampič in top ten in women's sprint classic
Slovenian cross-country skier Anamarija Lampič finished eighth in the women's sprint classic race today. Sweden's Stina Nilsson won gold, followed by Maiken Falla of Norward and Yulia Belorukova, who won bronze for the neutral Olympic Athletes of Russia. Lampič was fourth in her group in the semi-finals. Slovenia's other competitors in the quarter finals, Katja Višnar and Alenka Čebašek, finished 4th and 6th in their groups, respectively, and 16th and 30th overall. Nika Razinger and both Slovenians in the men's sprint, Miha Šimenc and Janez Lampič, did not progress beyond the qualifications.
