STA, March 24, 2018 – Norway are the winners of the team event at the Ski Jumping World Cup season finale at Planica on Saturday, with a combined score of 1,620.2 points in two rounds. Germany were second with 1,482.98 points and the host team Slovenia were third (1,474.5 points).
The winning team featured world ski flying champion Daniel Andre Tande (243.5 and 241.5 m) and Andreas Stjernen (236 and 225.5 m), Robert Johansson (240.5 and 241 m) and Johan Andre Forfang (242 and 240.5 m).
Norway added to their team gold medal at the Ski Flying World Championships in January and team gold at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics last month.
The host team was represented by Domen Prevc (237 and 237.5 m), Robert Kranjec (239.5 and 226 m), Anže Semenič (208 and 213 m) and Peter Prevc (215 and 217 m).
Poland, which were in second place after the third round, fell four points behind Slovenia overall to take the fourth place.
It was Poland's Kamil Stoch who had the longest jump at the competition, landing at 248.5 metres in the first round, three metres short of the Planica record he set last year.
The Ski Jumping World Cup season will conclude on Sunday with the second individual event at Planica.
