STA, 16 August 2018 - The average monthly gross wage in Slovenia in the first half of the year was EUR 1,658 or 3.6% more than in the same period last year nominally, and 2% higher in real terms. The average net wage was at EUR 1,076, which was 3.1% and 1.5% higher year-on-year in nominal and real terms, respectively.

STA, 31 July 2018 - Some 72% of Slovenian households could afford a week-long vacation last year, up three percentage points over the year before and the highest since the data series began in 2005, the Statistics Office said.

STA, 17 July - Last year, 15,500 foreign citizens immigrated to Slovenia, while there were also 3,300 Slovenians who moved back to their homeland. Almost 9,900 Slovenians and 7,700 foreigners emigrated from the country. That means that net migration was positive and the highest since 2011, the Statistics Office said.

STA, 11 June 2018 - Companies operating in Slovenia last year paid out a total of EUR 734m in dividends, which is 8.3% more than in 2016. More than half (53%) of the sum was paid out by financial companies, while the general government sector was the biggest receiver, the Statistics Office said on Monday.
STA, 31 May 2018 - Inflation in Slovenia rose by 0.5 points to 2% at the annual level in May, mainly due to higher prices of food, and fuels and energy, the Statistics Office reported on Thursday. This is the first time since February last year that prices rose more than 2% at the yearly level.
