Ian Middleton is a professional writer, photographer, teacher and mythical monster hunter. In-between authoring several travel and photography books, he has travelled extensively around the world and in particular around Ireland where he went in search of Ireland’s ancient history, mythical giants, fairies and monsters; resulting in an unusual travel guide called Mysterious World: Ireland. In 2001 he met his future Slovene wife while travelling in Spain and subsequent visits to Slovenia’s amazing landscape fuelled his already burning desire to become a photographer.

Ian now divides his time between his homes in the UK and Slovenia, where he runs regular photography workshops. His ultimate goals in life are to live through raising his two lively children and fulfil his dream of seeing the Loch Ness Monster. He is still not sure which one will prove the most achievable!
