STA, 20 July 2018 - The 28th season of the Slovenian football premier league will get under way this evening. Fourteen-time national champions Maribor will be looking to reclaim the title after losing it two months ago to their eternal arch-rival Olimpija of Ljubljana.
Luka Dončić started his career with the youth team of Petrol Olimpija before heading off to Real Madrid and now the Dallas Mavericks. But the movement of players between Slovenia and the US is no one-way street, as evidenced by the news that Jalek Felton, the former University of North Carolina (UNC) point guard, has signed with Dončić’s old team, and is due on the court in the upcoming season.

STA, 10 July 2018 - Slovenian basketball prodigy Luka Dončić has signed a four-year contract with the Dallas Mavericks, the NBA team that acquired him on the draft night from the Atlanta Hawks, which had picked the 19-year-old 3rd overall.

STA, 25 June 2018 - Slovenian basketball prodigy Luka Dončić, who recently became a member of the NBA Dallas Mavericks, will not play for the Slovenian team in the qualifications for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup because his new employers believe he should rest and regenerate. The Slovenian team expected this but hoped he would be able to play after all.

STA, 22 June 2018 - Slovenian basketball prodigy Luka Dončić was selected 3rd by the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA draft in New York on Friday to become the highest picked Slovenian ever. While the 19-year-old was picked by Atlanta, the Hawks passed him on to the Dallas Maverikcs in a previously agreed trade.
STA, 17 June 2018 - Slovenian cycling sensation Primož Roglič is the winner of the 25th Tour of Slovenia, having also won Sunday's time trial between Trebnje and Novo Mesto. This is the second overall victory at the Tour of Slovenia for the 28-year-old following his win in 2015.
STA 16 June 2018 - Home favourite Primož Roglič has taken the lead in the Tour of Slovenia after winning the penultimate 155-kilometre mountain stage between Ljubljana and Kamnik on Saturday.
